Make a Difference

Every day, volunteers improve the lives of our neighbors and friends facing homelessness. Whether making a meal, teaching, running the front desk or using your professional skills to further our mission, we need you.

Opportunities are available at our Lincoln Park and Old Town locations, off-site in our Street Outreach program and virtually. We work with individuals, friends, families, social, faith-based and corporate groups. We have a variety of schedules and openings.

Get started! Visit our LPCS Galaxy Digital volunteer web portal to browse our current volunteer opportunities and sign up! If you're a new volunteer, please create a profile on the Galaxy site by clicking Sign Up. If you have volunteered for us before but have not had a chance to use Galaxy, please contact us at  volunteer@lpcschicago.org to activate your profile.

Thank you!

Prepare lunches for Street Outreach!

Volunteers can prepare and deliver 50 sack lunches at our Old Town location for the Street Outreach Program. Volunteers go out on Monday afternoons and Wednesday afternoons to offer services and necessities to individuals living in encampments throughout the North Side. Should have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and 25 lunches should have meat and cheese sandwiches

Go out with the Street Outreach team!

Twice a week, our Street Outreach team reaches out to individuals living in encampments around the city. We provide food, toiletries and other necessities, converse with offsite Guests and offer case management services. This is often a first step to helping unhoused individuals reach independence. Volunteers must be prepared to carry supplies and interact with people facing a variety of mental, physical and societal problems. Galaxy Digital Volunteer website
